A complete range of halyards and sheets, standing rigging, anchor and mooring lines, and accessories.

Halyards — halyards for hoisting sails

Lines for hoisting sails — low elongation and high strength.

9 products

Halyards hoist and hold the sails, so one property matters above all: minimal stretch. A rope that elongates under load lets the sail sag, spoils its shape and forces the crew to keep re-tensioning.

That is why we build halyards on HMPE cores, Dyneema or our tested and upgraded Nexsteel, and protect them with a polyester cover that gives grip and resists abrasion in stoppers as well as UV. For racing we also offer coreless twelve-strand ropes in one hundred percent Dyneema SK78, such as DF 2 or D-race, which are the lightest and easy to splice. For cruising, Mistral or Dynestorm with its Cordura cover are excellent choices.

Sheets — sheets for trimming sails

Lines for trimming sails — comfortable grip and abrasion resistance.

10 products

Sheets are the ropes the crew handles most: they trim the sails, run through winches and stoppers, and are held in hand at every tack. Grip and abrasion resistance therefore matter most, not strength alone.

The core of our range is polyester double braid, pleasant in the hand, holding knots well and tolerating sun and salt. For boats with high loads we offer sheets with HMPE cores and Cordura covers, such as Dynestorm or Ocean: they do not slip in stoppers, do not bind on winches and last seasons of intensive use. For spinnaker sheets in light wind there is the ultralight floating Aquarius, which does not weigh down the sail.

Standing rigging — textile replacement for wire stays and shrouds

Textile replacement for steel rigging — extremely low elongation.

2 products

Standing rigging holds up the mast and was traditionally made of stainless steel wire. Textile standing rigging in Dyneema DM20 fibre now offers a lighter and in many respects superior alternative.

The DM20 fibre was developed specifically for permanent static load: unlike common Dyneema grades it barely elongates under long-term load, does not suffer from creep and still retains exceptional strength. The result is rigging that weighs a fraction of steel, does not corrode, does not fatigue like metal and carries no risk of individual strands snapping suddenly.

Anchor & mooring — anchor rope, mooring line, dock line

Lines for anchoring and mooring — shock-absorbing elasticity.

9 products

Anchor and mooring lines have to do what other ropes do not: absorb shock loads. A boat at anchor or alongside swings on the wave, and every movement is transmitted into the rope and the fittings. So here we do not look for minimal stretch but for healthy elasticity that absorbs the energy.

Polyamide, that is nylon, offers it best, and it is what our Flexon, Mariner, Flexi dock and Eco rope are made of; the high-strength polyester Laguna adds UV and abrasion resistance. For light mooring in a marina there are the polypropylene Stormy dock and Malaga, the light Vision carries a reflective strip in its cover for safety at night, and the Eco anchor rope made of recycled fibre shows that a responsible choice need not be a compromise.

Other ropes — cords and lines for every job on board

Special and supplementary ropes for everyday life on deck.

11 products

Besides halyards, sheets and anchor lines, every boat needs a range of other cords and lines that are often forgotten when fitting out, even though they decide comfort and safety.

These include smaller-diameter control lines for the kicker, outhaul, cunningham or reefing, where precise trim matters; for demanding systems we also offer the Vectran line with near-zero creep and the aramid Leech line for tensioning the sail's leech. Safety is covered by the floating SOS rescue line in polypropylene, which stays on the surface, and the Railing line for guardrails. The Lazy jack makes dropping the mainsail easier, the Whipping line finishes rope ends and Sail fix serves repairs. For owners of classic boats we have the three-strand Oldtimer with a traditional look and the universal polypropylene Energy for everyday work on deck.

Accessories — rope accessories: soft shackles, reels, shock cord

Soft shackles, reels and add-ons for your rigging.

5 products

A good rope also needs good accessories that make it easier to use and extend its life.

The most popular piece is the soft shackle, a textile shackle spliced from Dyneema that replaces metal shackles where they could damage the deck, the sail or fittings: it is light, does not rust, holds enormous loads and opens with one hand. Minireels are small spools of the most frequently used cords in 2 to 6 mm diameters, including an HMPE version, ideal for the boat's repair kit for small fixes and lashings. Shock cord, that is elastic bungee, keeps sails in their bags, secures small gear and dampens movement wherever elasticity is needed. Whipping line finishes cut rope ends with a whipping so they do not unravel, and Sail fix serves quick sail repairs on the water.
